Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital foundation 2023 Hearts in San Francisco public art project featured Artists
About ZSFGH Foundation Hearts in San Francisco 2023
Hearts in San Francisco 2023 is a public art project supporting excellence in patient care and innovation at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG). The 2023 Hearts in San Francisco Series includes six large hearts, eight tabletop heart sculptures and ten mini heart sculptures, plus ten special hearts commemorating the 150th anniversary of Zuckerberg San Francisco General. This year 26 artists have been selected to participate in the public art project.
Design Girl Magic were chosen as featured artists with the honor of creating two hearts sculptures for the SFGH.org’s public art initiative this year. Our hand painted table top heart GiveLOVE was included in the 2023 Hearts in San Francisco, and our beautifully adorned mini heart Wisdom’s Gift was included as part of the ZSF General Hospital’s 150th Anniversary Celebration. Both hearts sculptures were in exhibitions at the Nieman Marcus SF flagship store, The SF Ferry Building and the SF City Hall.
Our hearts were featured in the following:

San Francisco Creative Corps Featured Artists for Paint The Void Mural Project
Paint the Void is a non-profit arts collective born out of the coronavirus pandemic. Paint The Void matches local artists with local businesses, organizes public donation, then commissions uplifting murals, turning boarded-up storefronts into primed canvases for public art. The process keeps artists at work, beautifies the neighborhoods all across San Francisco, and gives small-business owners a new lease of hope, drawing the local community into the conversation at every opportunity. Paint The Void, created by Building 180 with Art for Civil Discourse, has now completed 100+ murals, received massive acclaim from public and private sectors, and touched the lives of thousands of Bay Area residents. All this, and the entire project has been organized and executed remotely, by five female founders. Paint The Void continues it’s important work throughout San Francisco’s shelter-in-place mandate, and welcomes all direct support from interested benefactors. Paint the Void: www.paintthevoid.org
