I've got an office confession...
Ok. I admit it. I'm a multi-desker! That's right, I tend to set up shop in not one but three places in my small office/studio.
My fav by far is my little banquet seat in the corner. I use that space to research inspo for my next pieces, for writing and taking notes. Sometimes I'll work on an illustration in ProCreate there, or do a zoom meeting or two. I love the cute retro sofa, teal color and all the pillows. I plan to add even more pillows soon. (I've been eyeing something @jungalow!)
Then there's my desk with the large monitor and desktop Mac. That space is ALL business ALL the time. I'm usually sending out email pitches, taking care of contracts, looking for opportunities to apply for and dealing with any client file stuff there. I love it because I've got some of my fave paint brushes there in a fun bronze holder I picked up from Anthro and I keep a small statue of a balloon animal to remind me to keep it light.
The last little desk is in the other corner by the window. That one is for all things messy. I'm usually creating collages there, painting and playing with cut paper. I have a few sets of markers and calligraphy pens there along with plenty of paints and palettes. 🎨
Do you have a home office or studio? Are you a multi-desker or do you only work on one desk? Don't like to be bound by desk norms? Let me know how you work.
